At the international event “BPW Europe General Assembly 2026” held in Munich in the last week of April, the Vilnius Business Women’s Club (VVMK) won three awards. One of the most important awards was given for its cooperation with the financial literacy and women’s entrepreneurship conference “Women’s Money”.
The international organization “BPW International” unites about 24 thousand members worldwide, of which more than 18 thousand are in Europe. The organization also includes VVMK, which operates under the Vilnius Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Crafts. During the annual BPW General Assembly, about 40 European countries present their most significant initiatives and projects. Awards are given only to the three most outstanding and impact-creating projects. This year, the conference “Women’s Money” organized in Lithuania was also recognized among the best.
Focus on women’s financial literacy and entrepreneurship
The organizers of the conference “Women’s Money” together with the Vilnius Business Women’s Club implemented a social initiative, during which 200 invitations were presented to women registered with the Employment Service.
According to the organizers, the goal of this initiative is to strengthen women’s financial literacy, promote economic independence, inspire them to create their own businesses and look for additional sources of income.
The Vilnius Business Women’s Club participated in the conference “Women’s Money” for the second time. This year, the organization was among the event’s partners – it actively contributed to the publicity of the event, spread the word about women’s financial education and presented its activities to a wide audience of women.
International recognition for Lithuania
VVMK head Irma Januševičiūtė-Spudienė, who presented the initiative recognized as the best club project of 2025 in Munich, said after the event: “International women’s club missions are much more than participation in events. They are consistent work based on cooperation, involvement in conferences, networking, sharing experiences and creating international connections. This is how strong partnerships, mutual support and real opportunities for growth are born,” said I. Januševičiūtė-Spudienė and was happy to have received an offer of international cooperation from a participant developing a similar initiative in Sweden.
Club member Aušra Adiklienė also shared her impressions after the event: “While participating in the BPW International symposium, I felt inspired and strengthened by a community of like-minded people. Each conversation and shared experience reminded me of the great power of women’s leadership, cooperation, and courage to act. I return with gratitude, inspiration, and an even stronger belief in women’s empowerment,” said A. Adiklienė.
The international assessment once again confirmed that initiatives emerging in Lithuania aimed at women’s financial education, entrepreneurship, and leadership are visible and appreciated throughout Europe.
Next year, on March 19, similar initiatives will be continued at the conference “Women’s Money,” which is expected to attract around 2,000 or more participants.
